Egyptian security forces killed a gunman who opened fire at the entrance to a hotel in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada on Friday, state television reported.

Later reports indicate three foreign tourists, one from Sweden and two Austrians were wounded when a number of gunmen launched the assault after arriving by sea, it said.
Security forces had repelled the attack, the report said.
This is the second similar attack in two days.
